Chapter VII: Amendments

CHAPTER VII AMENDMENTS 

7.01 Amendments to the Election Code shall become effective upon approval by the chief student affairs officer and the president as stated in Regents Rule 50203.  The following approval process must be followed:

7.01.1 The full text of all proposed amendments shall be provided in a notice to the Assembly and the public at least ten days before the first reading. The second reading must at least ten days after the first reading;

7.01.2 Proposal and approval affirmative roll call vote of two-thirds (2/3) of the total voting membership of the Assembly, followed by a two-thirds (2/3) approval of the Executive Committee;

7.01.3 Submit a finalized copy of the updated Graduate Student Assembly Election Code with proposed changes noted, a copy of the current Graduate Student Assembly Election Code, notes from any committees involved, and minutes from the Graduate Student Assembly General Assembly meeting in which the vote for approval was taken for review to the Senior Administrative Associate, and;

7.01.4 Approval by the chief student affairs officer and the president
